Hachi Matcha Silver
A smooth, balanced matcha from Uji, Kyoto, and our best all-rounder for both straight drinking and lattes.
Silver has a mellow, approachable flavour with good depth, light floral notes and a gentle astringency. It is refined enough to enjoy traditionally with water, but robust enough to stand up well in milk.

Best for:
Everyday straight matcha, morning matcha and premium lattes. If you are new to higher-quality matcha and not sure where to start, Silver is the easiest choice.
How to prepare traditional matcha:
Sift ½–1 teaspoon of Silver into a small bowl. Add 2–4 oz of water at approximately 70–80°C. Whisk vigorously for about 15 seconds until smooth and lightly frothy.
For a matcha latte:
Whisk 1 teaspoon of sifted Silver with about 1 oz of 70–80°C water, then add steamed milk.
Storage:
Keep away from heat, light, air, moisture and strong odours. Once opened, keep tightly sealed and use as fresh as possible.
