Hachi Matcha Gold
A rich, umami-forward matcha from Uji, Kyoto, created for straight drinking, tea ceremony and special occasions.
Gold is smoother and more refined than our everyday grades, with a deep savoury character, gentle sweetness and a long, complex finish. Think fresh rain, forest floor and floral notes — a matcha to slow down and pay attention to.

Best for:
Straight matcha, tea ceremony and premium everyday drinking. It also makes an exceptionally rich latte, although its more delicate character is best appreciated with water.
How to prepare traditional matcha:
Sift ½–1 teaspoon of Gold into a small bowl. Add 2–4 oz of water at approximately 70–80°C. Whisk vigorously for about 15 seconds until smooth and lightly frothy.
For a matcha latte:
Whisk 1 teaspoon of sifted Gold with about 1 oz of 70–80°C water, then add steamed milk.
Storage:
Keep away from heat, light, air, moisture and strong odours. Once opened, keep tightly sealed and use as fresh as possible.
